Da Hooley – lively Edinburgh ceilidh band
A top Scottish ceilidh band for a great night out in Edinburgh, Scotland, and beyond
We are a Scottish band, based in Edinburgh, and regularly play for all sorts of functions and events in the city.
We’re also very happy to travel for ceilidhs that are further afield. We often travel to East Lothian, Fife, Glasgow and the borders, and occasionally much further away. So far our furthest ceilidh has been in Hong Kong. So if you’re planning an event somewhere outside our beautiful capital city, do get in touch – we love exploring!
“Absolutely brilliant weekend lads, thanks for all your hard work making it happen. The ceilidh band in particular were amazing, one of the best I’ve ever seen. I don’t care how much they cost, you need to keep them on the books. Good find!”
The ceilidh band for every event
Da Hooley ceilidh band will inject a sense of energy and fun into any occasion. We have nearly 20 years experience of playing ceilidhs for weddings, fundraisers, corporate events, family parties, festivals, and almost any other type of celebration you can imagine. The band enjoys a reputation for playing lively music, and has an energetic style. Coupled with a caller who is skilled in giving clear instructions for the dances when needed, we can ensure your event really becomes a night for everyone to remember.
We love to share a good night out. Come along and join us at one of our public ceilidhs, and enjoy the craic!
“Just to say, thank you so much for all the effort you put into our Hogmanay Party. Fantastic feedback from loads of people who attended. It’s always great when your band plays for us as you are all so professional.”
Da Hooley have been playing for dancing since 1995
The band first got together to play for ceilidh dancing in 1995. So this year we’ve been celebrating our own big birthday!
“Thank you for playing at our fundraising ceilidh. People have already commented on how good the band was and how much they enjoyed the dancing. It looks like being the most successful ceilidh we have had”
“Just a wee note to say thank you to you and the rest of Da Hooley for a fantastic ceilidh on Saturday night. There were loads of compliments about the band. We were delighted with how the ceilidh went and especially that so many people danced!”
