Patsy Seddon is one of Scotland’s best loved clàrsach /Scottish harp players. She has played her music at many occasions over many years, in concerts and at events where beautiful harp music enhances the atmosphere. She has performed often at weddings and dinners, usually selecting suitable pieces or adapting suggestions by the event organiser. The clàrsach lends a serene atmosphere to a wedding ceremony whether playing at key moments such as the walk in and signing the register or playing just for background music as people gather then while guests mingle, possibly with a drink in hand. The harp creates a lovely mood in the room.
Patsy’s music is drawn mainly from the Scottish repertoire including elegant pieces by Niel Gow, lively fiddle music from Shetland and beautiful haunting Gaelic melodies. She can also include popular music e.g. the Secret Wedding from Braveheart or Spanish Romance, a familiar guitar piece and with some fore warning can source and adapt pieces or songs by request.

Patsy has also been singing since she learnt to talk and is happy to sing songs from the folk repertoire in English and Gaelic, and also some popular songs and light classics.
